MEN OF GOOD REPORT (Acts 6:3)
Greetings Beloved,
Grace to you and peace from God our father and the lord Jesus Christ, Welcome to a new dispensation in the vision which God has given us to Redeem the desolations of our land & generation.
From the previous tenure, we had a mandate to become an Army of righteousness and I believe God is still in the business of raising for himself an army. It is with this same spirit that by God’s mercy we will be trusting God to produce out of us Men of God Report!
According to Acts 6:3: Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. KJV.
Every man must come to a point where he is responsible and resourceful so as to fit into specific Job descriptions needed at a given time.
In perilous times like we are in now, there is a need for men of Good report that need to take care of our Father’s business, and how sad it will be if we don’t qualify! Quickly, let’s talk about the basic criteria for becoming a man of good report.
- Full of the holy ghost:Acts 1:8 says “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
There is a great need for the infilling of the holy ghost and in this case, the holy ghost does not come upon us to make us feel good but to make us witnesses of him. Thus we must be a reflection of Jesus in character, charisma, and human relations.
- Wisdom: Prob 4:7 “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding”. Simply as the scripture puts it, Wisdom is the foundation for any man that will have a good report. His steps, words, and actions must be guided by the wisdom of God. One of the ways scriptures teach us how to get wisdom is by fearing the lord (Prob 9:10).
In this dispensation, we must position ourselves by the fear of God to see that we do his will and his bidding so that we can represent him in the different spheres he sends us to. We must ensure that we emulate the characters of Men whom through Faith have obtained a good report in enhancing and advancing the kingdom of God! As God’s children, God does not expect less from us.
Much has been given to you & I, we must make sure we don’t disappoint the one that has sent us and return back to him with a good report!. Kindly ensure that every brother in your zone and chapter is reached out to. Remember you are a soldier and we are at WAR!. Don’t relent, don’t give up, be steady & steadfast, till we meet again.
