GROWTH (Luke 2:52, 2 Peter 3:18)

A natural sign of healthy living is growth!

Growth, as defined, is the series of changes from conception to maturity evident physically. It pertains to a series of processes that herald maturity.

For any organism to be recognized as healthy, there must be a consistent increase in form as and when due. Likewise, for the believer. At salvation, he is only but a babe in Christ and must begin to engage in the process of attaining maturity.

“As Jesus grew, so did his wisdom and maturity. The favor of men increased upon his life, for he was greatly loved by God.” Luke‬ ‭2:52‬ ‭TPT‬‬

The growth of Jesus evident in scriptures was evident in His relationship with God, His dealings with men, His disposition towards life, and even physically.

Because growth is always active, the believer has to work to grow. His desire must be to move from one state to another. Daily, consistently, and diligently, it is required of him to give himself to learning and the building up of his being.

Sadly, a lot of believers stop at the point where they feel the most comfortable. They have certain experiences with God and remain in that because it is assumed that they have amassed all there is to know about God. Leading to complacency.

Yet, scriptures admonish us clearly in 2 Peter 3:18 to “continue” to grow because complacency births staleness. Growth is a never-ending process, till Jesus comes. Hence, you must keep planting, watering, and tending the garden of your life so that you may grow.

It is only a believer that grows that can steward the responsibility of the kingdom! Babes cannot handle or be trusted to advance and legislate God’s kingdom on earth.

Friends, you have one job, to grow in the knowledge of Christ. Everything else would align and conform. The world is designed to choke and stunt your growth process hence you must be deliberate about your maturity and to do this, you must give heed to the instructions of the scriptures – DESIRE the SINCERE MILK of the WORD that YOU MAY GROW!
