FERVENT BRIDE (Hosea 2:19-20)

Fervent, as defined by the dictionary is to be extremely devoted or to have intense affection as it is with a child’s devotion to a favourite toy. It is glowing, burning, very hot, having or showing emotional warmth, fervour, or passion.

The Fervent Bride is a zealous, passionate, charged, persistent and extremely devoted woman to God. She keeps a deep, focused, passion-filled heart on God and aligns herself with Him.

Hence, fervency is a woman’s battle plan to serious, specific and strategic intimacy with God in prayer. Apostle Paul speaking, stated that we must be fervent in spirit. His counsel to us is to avoid becoming lukewarm, apathetic/moderate, or bored in our pursuit of God.

POR, fervency is necessary to advance the kingdom of God. The enemy seeks to dim your passion, dampen your belief in God’s ability, keep you distracted and hustling for worldly things so his goal, is to dull your spiritual life just like the popular saying “it’s a slow fade” dulls your senses.

Complacency comes into play in turn dampening our love, joy and passion. However, the scriptures say to maintain spiritual passion (1 Corinthians 15:58, Revelation 3: 15-16).

The greatest commandment is love, “and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind”(Luke 10:27).

“You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart, I will be found by you declares the Lord (earnestly – rather than half-heartedly)”.

A Fervent Bride is extremely devoted to and is a woman of intimacy with God. POR, in this quarter and beyond the call is to drop the garments of complacency and wear the cloak of fervency. The Spirit bids you come, yet, it is up to you to respond.
