HIS IMAGE (Genesis 1:26-28, 5:1-2, 2 Corinthians 3:18)
To my dearly beloved sisters,
It is a privilege to lead and work with you as we journey with the Lord till we become like Christ.
HIS IMAGE….is the topic of consideration for this quarter(October – December).
The consciousness of who we reflect, what we look like is very vital; Your Identity is a function of your belief. What do you believe about yourself? What God has said or what the devil, society, environment has made you believe you are? You are not who you say you are but who you believe you are. We don’t see ourselves becoming who we say we are because our belief has been tampered and so the word did not profit them because it was not mixed with faith.
A lot of us are veiled. The Devil has lied to us about who we are, condemned us; we have lost confidence, pride, honour, assurance, battling with esteem issues, immorality etc. Ladies, it is time to Unveil! Take off the mask and put out all the veils that keeps us in bondage and live in the fullness of Christ.
We are made in the Image and Likeness of God. Images are reflections, what are you reflecting or mirrowing? Whose Image are you? We are made to resemble God in Character, Personality and in attitudes. Answering this question builds the foundation of your identity. We know who we are by what you reflect. Man was fashioned to represent God. When God thought of You, He thought about a Lady that can represent Him, think, live and act like him on the earth. What prompted the Dominion mandate is that man has a constituent, a component of God. There is no Dominion without being the image and Likeness of God. The power of Dominion lies in your becoming like Christ.
We Begin to reflect God’s image by Beholding (looking steadily, consistently). Invest time to knowing, seeking and loving the Lord and you will look like God. The prove of love is the investment of time. If you love the Lord you will spend time with him and when you do, you will become like him.
The focus of our becoming for this quarter is in spirit, soul and body
October- December
SPIRIT
When a man gives his life to Christ, his spirit is regenerated. That is the first unveiling. Assurance of salvation should be emphasized. A lot of sisters has lost the assurance of their salvation.
“..If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation all things are past away, everything is now new…” 2 Cor 5:17, Romans 8:9
SOUL
The soul does not get transformed at new birth. It is transformed by the renewal of the mind and fixing your heart on the things that are of values. It is time to replace the things that are not of God that we have filled our soul with and registered in our minds.
“…whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things…”.
Philphians 4:8, Romans 12:2
BODY
As mundane as the body is, God desires to be seen in our body. Our body is our appearance, First place of contact. We meet your body before your spirit man. It is in your body that you bear the mark of Christ. Your body is God’s temple and a temple is to be kept clean (inside out). Let Christ be magnified in our body.
Romans 12: 1, 1 Corinthians 6:19
I believe that chains will be broken, narrative will be changed, Veils will be removed; we see ourselves as the Image and likeness of God, wrong Identities will be taken away. We will come in the volume of the books written of us, we run in the knowledge of God, For we are a generation of the PURE BREED…
Scriptural emphasis: Genesis 1:26-28, 5:1-2, 2 Corinthians 3: 16-18
